I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
